La Pedrera is a picturesque town located on a rocky cliff, where everything is calm, except the sea. A small hill facing the sea from which two long Atlantic bays unfold.

Beaches such as El Desplayado, with a small bay between the rocks, ideal for family enjoyment, or Barco beach, standing out for youth enjoyers, where surfers gather to enjoy the waves. In addition, on this beach, the last vestiges of the fishing vessel "Cathay VIII" can still be seen, stranded since 1971.

Its boulevard invites you to take long walks, to feel the landscape and enjoy whale watching between July and October.

La Pedrera is located at kilometer 227 of route 10, a few minutes away from La Paloma coming from Montevideo, it is 130km from the border with Brazil (Chuy city) and 115km from the port of Punta del Este.
